A screen-protection standard is a published test method or rating that describes what a laboratory measured, and on which artifact. On commercial touch hardware, nearly every certification a fleet buyer encounters attaches to the device, the enclosure, or the deployment. Only a short list of material tests, such as ASTM D3363 pencil hardness, describes a film specimen itself.
