How We Verify
Every published fact on this site shows where it came from and how confident we are in it. This page explains how the catalog is built and what the labels mean.
Sources
Manufacturer spec sheets and official documentation are the primary source for device display data. Every published field links its source, and model-existence evidence is linked for catalog entries that have not reached full specification coverage yet. Secondary sources are used only where the manufacturer publishes nothing, and they are labeled as such.
Verification states
Each device carries one of two states, shown as a badge on its page:
Specs were captured from manufacturer documentation and each field links the document it came from.
The model was identified from industry device research (with linked evidence), but its specs have not yet been verified against manufacturer documentation.
Unknowns and cut dimensions
Fields the manufacturer does not publish render as Unknown. We do not estimate or backfill them from similar models.
Screen dimensions describe the device’s active display area. They are never protector cut dimensions: cut sizes depend on bezel geometry and adhesive design, and they are confirmed with the supplier before any production run.
Conflicts and corrections
When sources disagree on a value, we do not publish a guess. The conflict is resolved against the manufacturer’s documentation first, and the field stays unpublished until it is. If you spot an error, report it to ops@screenprotector.org with the model and the source you are comparing against, and we will re-check it.
Freshness
Pages render their dataset reference date as a “Specs last verified” stamp. The current dataset reference date is 2026-09-05. The catalog is regenerated as research batches complete, so newer stamps appear as batches land.
How matching works
Buyers submit a specification request describing their fleet and requirements. Matched suppliers respond with options for that request. Suppliers pay to participate in the matching platform; that compensation does not influence device data, verification states, or material guidance anywhere on the site. There is no paid placement in editorial content.
